A $27 million mansion in Preston Hollow with a two-hole regulation golf course complete with sand traps and water features was one of the most expensive homes to hit the Texas housing market last month.
Five of the most expensive homes for sale in Texas last month were in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area, according to data from the Houston Association of Realtors, which uses information from local real estate information services around the state, including the North Texas Real Estate Information System.
The data was compiled through the end of the month, so some homes listed in late February may have been included in the March rankings.
The six-bedroom, 12-bathroom property at 10540 Lennox Lane is a three-story home with an elevator, spacious wine cellar and catering kitchen. The 17,201-square-foot lot also features three game rooms, two offices, a sunroom, a golf simulator and a two-bedroom apartment. The property has eight full bathrooms and four half bathrooms.
In addition to the golf course, the estate’s outdoor amenities include a fire pit, pool, spa, and a large cabana with a full bath. The estate has two ponds and its own water well.
The home is being sold by Dallas real estate firm Allie Beth Allman & Associates and was the third most expensive home listed for sale in Texas last month.
Dallas Central appraisal records list Michael Scott Anderson as the current owner, and the attorney’s estate was previously featured in D Magazine’s “Most Expensive Homes.”
