TAMPA, Fla., May 23, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Two of the most progressive real estate agents in the country® The American Association of Realtors announced today that its members voted to approve a merger that will create the third-largest local real estate brokerage association.® It is the largest association in Florida and the sixth largest in the United States. Pinellas Association of Realtors® Organizations (PRO/CPRO) and Greater Tampa Real Estate Agents® (GTR) merged to become Tampa Bay Realtors® (pending NAR approval), serving over 24,000 real estate professionals in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties.
This integration has resulted in the Tampa Bay region becoming one thriving region, now the 17th largest in theNumber It is the largest metropolitan area in the United States and one of the fastest growing markets today.® As they conduct business throughout the region, members of the new organization will benefit from expanded training, more impactful community outreach and a unified voice in support of Tampa Bay real estate consumers. The combined association will continue in Stellar MLS as the second largest shareholder and MLS services will remain intact.

David Bennett is the current CEO of PRO/CPRO and has more than 30 years of successful real estate association leadership. Jason Outman is the current CEO of GTR and is the former CEO of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. Together, the two will leverage their deep knowledge of how to actively engage real estate agents.® They develop their members and embed their organizations in impactful communities and global efforts.
