HyderabadA city real estate agent was found murdered in Bidar on Saturday. Madhu’s body was found in a deserted spot next to a closed dhaba on the national highway. CCTV footage showed four people abandoning the body at the spot.
Karnataka police said Madhu appeared to have been attacked with broken beer bottles and stones, and officials said a complaint had yet to be filed with Jeedimetla police.
“We received a call about an unidentified body on Saturday morning,” Inspector D Shailaja of Munnekhali police in Karnataka told Deccan Chronicle. She said preliminary investigations based on statements from Madhu’s family members indicated that the murder could be the result of previous enmity.
“CCTV footage from the spot showed the four abandoning the body in a deserted spot. They may have committed the murder somewhere else,” Shailaja said.
According to reliable sources, on Friday afternoon, Madhu’s friend Renuka Prasad and two others, Nikis and P Gopi, took Madhu from her house after she told her family members that she was going to Bidar with them for work.
Later that evening, he called again and said he was on his way home. On Saturday morning, police informed the family about Madhu’s murder. They immediately rushed to the scene. Police said investigations are on to ascertain the motive for the murder.
