Luthi was elected to the SRA board earlier this year and subsequently ran for the chairmanship in 2026.
She ran against someone else and was elected to the position by the other board members.
As president in 2026, she will focus primarily on governance and leadership of the SRA.
“I’m very happy to have a regional representative on the board, especially as chair for 2026. The last few chairs have been great, but they’ve been from the Saskatoon and Regina areas, so it’s nice to have someone from a regional background. I’m also a woman, so it’s a combination of both elements and hopefully people will understand and respect that and be happy with the decision,” Luthi added.
“In this role, I also get to see what’s going on across the industry and in urban centre markets. It gives me a holistic approach to the whole province. Saskatoon and Regina and the countryside do things differently, but we’re all following the same laws and following the same guidelines. So it’s fun to see how it’s interpreted everywhere and how they sell property in their own markets.”
Luthi will continue to serve as a board member through the remainder of 2024 and will become chairman-elect in 2025.
She will work closely with 2025 Chair Lane Boghian and the SRA executive before assuming the role of Chair in 2026.
