The Jacksonville Association of Realtors has announced the formation of the Jacksonville Association of Realtors HOME Foundation, a non-profit housing foundation dedicated to improving housing opportunities throughout North Carolina.
According to a Tuesday press release, the Jacksonville Association of Realtors HOME Foundation’s mission is clear: “to advance homeownership opportunities through community outreach, strategic partnerships and meaningful education.”
Driven by this mission, the Foundation is committed to serving the needs of low- and moderate-income families in Onslow County.
According to the release, the foundation was established with three core objectives:
1. Fundraising and Grant Allocation: Through the generosity of our philanthropic donors, the Foundation raises funds to provide grants to nonprofit organizations that serve low- and moderate-income families. These grants support efforts aimed at improving access to safe, affordable housing options.
2. Emergency Disaster Relief and Education Programs: In times of crisis, the Foundation will respond quickly with emergency disaster relief efforts and conduct education programs to provide individuals and families with the knowledge and resources they need to become home-secure.
3. Community Leadership: Guided by a dedicated Board of Directors made up of community leaders and Realtors, the Foundation works as an all-volunteer organization to lead efforts that positively impact communities across North Carolina.
“The launch of the Jacksonville Association of Realtors’ HOME Foundation highlights our commitment to addressing North Carolina’s housing challenges. Through collaborative efforts and community engagement, we aim to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people in need of safe, affordable housing,” said Jamie Cooper, CEO of the Jacksonville Association of Realtors, in a press release.
