Two major real estate associations announced a merger last week that would make the combined association the third-largest in Florida and the sixth-largest in the U.S. The news was first reported by Real Estate News and Inman.
Pinellas Association of Realtors/Central Pasco Association of Realtors (PRO-CPRO) is Greater Tampa Realtors Form a Global Trade Register (GTR) Tampa Bay RealtorsThe merger is National Association of Realtors (NAR)serves more than 24,000 real estate professionals in Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco counties in the Tampa area.
The merger will not affect MLS services, and Tampa Bay Realtors will continue to partner with us. Stella MLSis the second-largest shareholder in the new association and no job cuts are planned.
Tampa Bay Realtors will be led by co-CEOs David Bennett of PRO-CPRO and Jason Outman of GTR. Bennett has more than 30 years of leadership experience in real estate associations, according to a news release.
“Tampa Bay Realtors will continue to provide our members with locally relevant services while leveraging our size and scale to deliver cutting-edge programs and impactful advocacy,” Brad Monroe, chairman of the consolidation task force that organized the merger, said in a statement.
“Tampa Bay is a vibrant region for consumers, and combining our resources will allow our members to leverage the incredible resources of both associations to provide real estate services throughout the Tampa Bay region. We will create three service centers to provide more in-person support and increase our combined staff to better serve our members’ needs,” said Adam Grenville, new president of Greater Tampa Realtors.
