Superstar pop artist Drake has joined a growing number of wealthy Texas residents by purchasing a 313-acre ranch in Brenham, a small town in Washington County about three and a half hours south of Dallas.
The luxury property, called The Inn at Dos Brisas, was reportedly purchased by the Canadian pop musician for $15 million in October 2023. The property is located at 10000 Champion Drive, between Highways 290, 6 and TX-105.
“Me and my homie sang country in front of everybody,” Drake said in his Southern accent. video He shared on social media: “I’ve been saying I’d do this for years and today I’m doing it. The sale is over and I need to release something new to go with it. Once I meet the girl on ‘Loverboy Lane’ it’s all over.”
Self-proclaimed “Loverboy” Drake has been considering purchasing a Texas property for some time since his “It’s All a Blur Tour” ended on April 5.
The ranch was built in 2000 by Houston tech titans Doug and Jennifer Bosch and is surrounded by pristine nature, including lush trees, flowers and three ponds already stocked with fish. It operated as a resort for 17 years before recently closing in 2022.
The property was converted into a resort in 2004 and includes a farm, greenhouses, equestrian facilities, a restaurant with a 7,000-bottle wine cellar, a large pool, hot tub and tennis courts.
“Dos Brisas is a rare traditional ranch property that offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the right buyer. We were able to find the right buyer while also pricing it for market conditions at the time,” listing manager Tonya Curry said in a statement. It’s unclear whether Drake will convert the ranch into a permanent resort, but there’s a good chance he will. Curry said in a statement. Mansion Global last year.

During a Houston stop on his latest tour, Drake promised Texans that he’ll be coming to the area more often.
“I had to make it official first, but I’ve been looking for a long time for a place to live, a place to belong, outside of Toronto,” he told a packed arena at Toyota Center. “And finally, after all these years, I’ve found my place in Houston, Texas, so you’re going to see me around here and there.”
Drake, who is also the founder of the Canadian independent music label OVO Sound, is known for more than just songs like “Hotline Bling” and “One Dance.” He is known to be very open about his personal real estate, including owning a $75 million mansion in Los Angeles and an $88 million mega-mansion in Beverly Hills.
The property purchase comes at a tumultuous time for the pop star, who is embroiled in a rap feud with fellow Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar. The two have been known to exchange verbal abuse since their rise to fame in the early 2010s.
