As part of its continuing efforts to support higher education, the Osceola County Association of Realtors has once again demonstrated its commitment to the community by awarding $10,000 in scholarships to local high school seniors. Through the association’s Realtor Cares Committee, 10 outstanding students will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to further their education at a college, technical school or other institution of higher learning.
Applicants were evaluated on a variety of categories, including GPA, community service hours and a 250-word essay. In the essay, participants were asked to explain the value that REALTOR® professionals contribute to their communities. The committee reviewed over 100 applications that presented many insightful perspectives on the topic, but only 10 were ultimately selected.
The committee is proud to announce the 2024 Osceola REALTOR® Scholarship recipients: Carlos Benavides of NeoCity Academy, Jake Chisholm of St. Cloud High School, Cathy Groh of Osceola County School for the Arts, Zoe Just of Tohopekaliga High School, Zelimah Noelis Rodriguez of St. Cloud High School, Chris Pichard of NeoCity Academy, Malachi Paulin of Celebration High School, Malak Rabbani of Celebration High School, Ednielis Tavares of Harmony High School, and Claire Ziemba of Celebration High School. The recipients’ outstanding essays, grades, and dedication to their communities impressed the committee.
“Congratulations to all of our incredible scholarship recipients. Your outstanding academic performance, tireless dedication to extracurricular activities, and commitment to giving back to our community are an inspiration to us all,” said James Rowe, Chairman of the Osceola Realtors Board of Directors. “Since 2011, Osceola Realtors has been honored to help local high school seniors cover the cost of college through scholarships. Through our continued dedication, we have proudly provided over $68,000 in vital financial assistance, empowering the dreams and hopes of local youth.”
The Scholarship Committee would like to thank all applicants who applied for this year’s scholarship and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
