Farmers Branch-based real estate developer Centurion American Development Group last week purchased the 1,100-acre site located between Celina and Pilot Point.
The company acquired the land known as Bryson Ranch from Blue Star Land, owned by the family of Gene and Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys NFL team.
Located along FM 1385 near the Dallas North Tollway Extension and crossed by Mustang Creek, the property is slated for a future master planned project and is just north of three of Centurion American’s previous projects: Winn Ridge, Sutton Fields and Creekview Meadows.
Joe Hickman of Frisco-based Blue Star Land worked on the transaction along with Rex Glendenning of Rex Real Estate, who represented both Centurion American and Blue Star Land in the transaction.
Trez Capital, where John Hutchinson serves as co-CEO and global head of origination, provided financing for the acquisition.
“Centurion has acquired more than 6,000 acres of development land in the area, including the 3,200-acre Legacy Hills Golf Course development, and we feel we have truly capitalized on the dynamic demand and growth in this corridor,” Glendenning said.
Centurion American acquired the land for the Legacy Hills development in 2021 from an investment partnership that had held it for nearly 40 years. When complete, the site will be home to thousands of single-family homes, apartments and 100 acres of commercial and retail buildings.
