Latino Dallas is a melting pot with representation from all over the Americas. Residents of every Spanish-speaking country call Dallas home. The largest group are Mexican-born Americans, followed by Mexican immigrants. In addition, there are descendants and immigrants from Colombia, El Salvador, Honduras, Peru, Cuba, Venezuela, and many other Spanish-speaking countries.
Our cultural heritage is diverse and you can experience and learn more about these traditions by visiting cultural institutions and dining in our award-winning restaurants. From food stalls and food trucks to fine dining, to visiting exhibitions or seeing a show at the Latino Cultural Center, the Cala Mia Theatre or the Teatro Dallas, we have it all.
Oak Cliff is the center of the Mexican American and Mexican immigrant community. Pleasant Grove is also a neighborhood with a large Mexican American and Mexican immigrant population. Other neighborhoods in Dallas have a mix of individuals and families from other countries in the Americas. Wherever you go in Dallas, you will find a Latino presence.
So, if you would like to experience Latin Dallas during your stay with us, come along! ¡Bienvenidos!
