Former president and presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is scheduled to appear at a fundraiser in Dallas on Wednesday night.
To participate, supporters must donate a minimum of $100,000. Trump has had some successful fundraising campaigns in Texas, and last weekend he spoke at the NRA’s annual convention at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas.
“They’ve got a corrupt man like Joe Biden in the White House who’s being paid. He’s a Manchurian candidate,” Trump said in a speech to the NRA. “He’s being paid by China, Russia and Ukraine.”
Sixteen presenters are scheduled to take part in Wednesday night’s fundraiser, including Dallas businessmen Ray Washburn and Kelcy Warren and Dallas investor Doug Deason.
Earlier this month, the Trump campaign told donors it had raised $76 million in April, but Politico noted that wouldn’t be confirmed until July.
The Biden campaign said in April it raised $51 million and has $192 million in cash, including $84 million in its campaign account. The Trump campaign has $49 million in its campaign account.
