The ArtsActivate 2025 program will launch on July 3rd and provide local artists and non-profits with the opportunity to fund arts and culture projects.
DALLAS — The City of Dallas is offering individual artists up to $8,000 in funding for arts and culture projects with the launch of its ArtsActivate 2025 program.
According to a press release, ArtsActivate is a funding program created by the City of Dallas’ Department of Arts and Culture with the goal of creating an equitable and vibrant arts environment for all Dallas artists and residents.
The first round of applications for the financial aid program will open on Wednesday, June 3rd at 8pm and close on July 29th.
This year’s first round of applicants will be notified of their funding status on September 5th, with the earliest project start date being October 14th.
The current fiscal year ends on September 25, 2025, with two more applications to be accepted.
Artist collectives, educational institutions, and other nonprofits that meet the eligibility requirements can apply for funding. 501(c)(3) nonprofits that apply can receive up to $16,000, depending on revenue size.
The City plans to offer information sessions and open office hours, both in-person and via Zoom, for interested applicants prior to the submission deadline.
The program is a continuation of the Dallas Cultural Plan 2018, which was implemented for a collaborative vision for the future of arts and culture in Dallas. ArtsActivate will launch in 2020 and consolidate and replace all of the City of Dallas’ previous project-based funding programs.
