Former President Donald Trump has sold one of his private jets to a prominent Dallas real estate developer and major Republican donor.
As reported by The Daily Beast, Centurion American Development Group CEO Mehrdad Moayedi has purchased President Trump’s 1997 Cessna for an undisclosed amount, which EvoJets values at about $10 million. The deal reportedly took place last year, but the identity of the buyer has not been disclosed.
Moayedi’s support for Trump is well known: Federal campaign finance records show he donated a total of $245,000 in 2019 and 2020 to Trump Victory, a committee that supports Trump’s presidential campaigns and other Republican organizations. Moayedi has also supported other Republican candidates and committees, including the Republican National Committee, Sen. Ted Cruz and Nikki Haley.
Meanwhile, President Trump was convicted on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in connection with the payment of hush money to porn actress Stormy Daniels, becoming the first U.S. president to be convicted of a felony.
Trump’s Cessna, which was previously featured on the Trump Aviation website, is one of the fastest jets in the world, flying at a top speed of Mach 92 and reaching altitudes of 51,000 ft. The jet comfortably seats nine passengers and features a premium interior and the “Trump crest” on the exterior.
Moayedi has overseen a number of large-scale developments across North Texas. In Celina, Centurion is developing its largest project to date, a 3,200-acre master-planned community called Legacy Hills, which will include 7,000 single-family homes, 4,100 apartment complexes, a country club and more than 100 acres of commercial space.
Centurion acquired 680 acres in Grayson County last year with the intention of building a master-planned community that will include hundreds of apartment complexes, multiple commercial facilities, retail stores, restaurants, schools and possibly thousands of single-family homes.
The company is also developing a 1,100-acre community in Terrell that will include more than 2,000 single-family homes, as well as multifamily, industrial and retail development.
