The Sheraton Dallas Hotel will host an Art Night event in The Parlour, a gallery exhibition showcasing artwork by artists from The StuPot Art Program.
Stewpot is a community ministry of the First Presbyterian Church of Dallas that provides a safe haven for homeless and at-risk people in Dallas, with resources to meet their basic survival needs and an opportunity to start a new life.
The event will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on July 23rd at The Parlour, the hotel’s upscale lounge bar at 400 North Olive Street in downtown Dallas.
At the event, attendees can browse the art on display, meet talented artists, and purchase unique pieces while enjoying light refreshments. Guests can also purchase original works of art starting at $50.
This event is open to the public, please register here.
Stewpot Art Program Details
The Stewpot Art Program serves people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in Dallas, providing a safe environment and outlet to express themselves through art.
Artists have access to The Stewpot’s studio space and art supplies, allowing them to create art on their own time throughout the year, and the program also provides an opportunity to connect with others who share the same passion.
There are currently 20 artists participating in the Stewpot Art Program.
Artists receive 90% of the proceeds from the sale of their art, with 10% of proceeds going to art programs for artist supplies and site visits.
