With a mission to revolutionize the feminine care industry, Rael's initial idea stemmed from her frustration with America's lack of clean, high-performance personal care brands. Turning their frustration into reality, Paik and his co-founders decided to bring advanced femtech products grown in Korea to the outdated U.S. market. In 2017, they took the plunge and leveraged Korean manufacturing techniques to launch his Rael, a single product: organic cotton pads. Impressively, this cotton pad quickly became the best-selling pad on Amazon, proving there was a need in the market.
Rael's success goes beyond organic cotton pads. The brand has expanded its offerings to include a wide range of organic feminine care products, skin care, and supplements. Throughout Rael's growth, Pike has never lost sight of its goal of providing support at every stage of the menstrual cycle in a sustainable and holistic way. But before Pike became a true pioneer in the femtech industry, she worked in the entertainment world for more than a decade.
Growing up in South Korea, she had dreams of making her own mark in Hollywood. Her plans included her working as a consultant, gaining admission to graduate school in America, and ultimately leveraging her education for a successful career in the entertainment industry. Her ambition led her to Harvard Business School, where she honed her business acumen and ultimately achieved her goal of becoming an executive at Disney.
