Some of the Oklahoma properties will be featured on the fourth season of Hulu's “First-Time Buyer,” a show by the National Association of Realtors®.
Three Tulsa real estate agents and first-time home buyers appear in three episodes.
Filming in Tulsa will wrap up in September, and eight new episodes will be released on January 30th.
Sources told News On 6 that keeping this big secret was difficult and they learned a lot from the experience.
Nicole Hopkins and her 8-year-old niece Aliyah are the focus of Episode 5.
“When we signed on to be on the reality show, we didn't know what we were getting into. All we knew was that it would be a lot of fun to have Aliya on TV. I turned that process over to Cindy,” Nicole said. ”
Cindy Morrison, a former television news reporter, is Nicole's real estate agent.
“Nicole wasn't looking for a home just for herself. Her younger sister lives with her and she also helps raise her niece, so it's a multi-generational home. Plus, her parents often come over to stay. “I'm getting it,” Cindy said. So there were very specific parameters for what she needed in her first home. ”
After making offers on 10 houses, Nicole and Aliyah found the one they wanted and finally had the opportunity to get a dog.
“I can paint on the walls and play outside with my dog,” Aliya said.
They said they were grateful for the experience they had on the show.
“One of the most valuable things for me was learning so much from the film crew and producers,” Nicole said.
Nicole, Aliyah and Cindy said they can't wait to see what their friends and family think about their journey featured in the Hulu series.
“It's been such a long time to keep a secret like that, so I forgive you. And there's a lot of ups and downs and ups and downs, so I think it's important to watch the show for people to know where Nicole really ends up.” I’m really looking forward to it.’ There was a lot of drama,” Cindy said.
Oklahoma City real estate agents are also featured in this new season.
Some of the real estate agents and buyers involved will be holding a watch party on January 30th, when the new season will be released.
