Texas-based company ranks 20th in this year's rankings forbes Ranking of America's largest private companies.
San Antonio-based grocer HEB continues to gain a loyal following, rising to No. 5 nationally and continuing its reign as Texas' largest privately held company. Revenue increased to $43.6 billion from $38.9 billion in the same period last year.
HEB began opening stores under the same name in Dallas-Fort Worth a year ago and currently operates four locations in Frisco, Plano, McKinney and Allen. The company is building or planning numerous facilities throughout the metropolitan area.
Dallas-Fort Worth companies took 11 of the 20 spots in Texas, and Grand Prairie-based wine and spirits distributor Republic National Distributing maintained its No. 2 ranking in the state. Republic's revenue increased from $12.1 billion to $12.8 billion.
Familiar companies such as retailers Michaels and Neiman Marcus, cosmetics company Mary Kay and energy and real estate giant Hunt Consolidated/Hunt Oil continued to appear last year.

Elon Musk's SpaceX entered the ranking for the first time after winning billions of dollars in government contracts last year. SpaceX is based in California, but is building a Starbase launch facility on the Gulf Coast near the Texas-Mexico border.
forbes This year's list includes 258 companies, an increase of more than a dozen companies from a year ago. To be eligible, companies needed to have annual revenues of more than $2 billion.
