Several new Asian-inspired restaurants have made their way to Northeast Dallas this summer or are planning to do so soon. This list is not comprehensive.
1. Gen Korean BBQ House plans to open its first Dallas store in the Old Town in the Village shopping center in northeast Dallas.
The California-based restaurant chain is known for its modern, neon dining rooms and all-you-can-eat meats grilled right at customers' tables. According to its website, the company offers “endless menu options consisting of freshly prepared meats, seafood, and vegetables,” including a variety of traditional Korean side dishes.
2. Unbelievable Bowl Asian Grill has opened its third North Texas restaurant in the Lake Highlands area.
The fast-casual restaurant serves a variety of Asian dishes, including beef and chicken teriyaki, spicy pork, sesame chicken, and bibimbap.
3. Vine Shop is coming soon to The Shops at Park Lane in Vickery Meadow.
The new store is one of three new locations opening in North Texas. Spokesman Mark Brzezinski said in an email that Vine Shop's opening is “roughly scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.”
The restaurant serves Asian street food including sandwiches, bowls, and sushi. Banh Shop also serves breakfast.
4. Keihe Japanese RestaurantA themed culture restaurant focusing on Japanese barbecue will open at Mockingbird Station Shopping Center.
Owner Kanphan King said he plans to open the restaurant in October or November, but the opening date has not yet been set. In addition to barbeque, Jinhe also serves sake, beer, and cocktails.
5. Casa Ramenis a Japanese restaurant focusing on ramen that opened in the Casa Linda area in east Dallas.
The restaurant offers several types of ramen, including vegan options. Other Japanese dishes are also available, such as shishito peppers and kushikatsu, which is meat and vegetables served on skewers with a special sauce.
