When does the state fair close?
date It will last until October 22nd.
time Parking gates and ticket booths open daily at 9am. Exhibit buildings, food and beverage outlets, and outdoor exhibits open daily at 10 a.m. Closes at 9pm Sunday through Thursday and 10pm on Friday and Saturday. Museum and morning opening hours are different.
position Located in 277-acre Fair Park, just off Interstate 30, southeast of downtown Dallas. Are you using GPS? Enter this address: 3809 Grand Ave., Dallas.
Admission fees and discounts Single-day tickets for the fair, which runs Monday through Thursday, cost $15 for general admission (ages 13-59) and $10 for children (ages 3-12) and seniors (ages 60 and older). Admission on Friday will be $20 for general admission and $15 for children and seniors. Saturday and Sunday tickets are $25 for general admission and $18 for children and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at bigtex.com or at the gate. Group rates are available for groups of 25 or more. Discounts are available for each day of the week.
coupon Food, games, and rides within the fairgrounds must be paid for using coupons. These are available for purchase online at bigtex.com/buy-tickets-new (sold in $50 packages for pick-up in person at the trade show) or at kiosks on the trade show floor. Each coupon costs $1. There is no expiration date. Midway Game Cards with pre-2022 funds can be redeemed for food and Midway His coupons at the fair's Guest Relations locations (inside the Midway and Centennial Buildings near the Top of Texas Tower).

How to get to your destination
parking Self-parking on State Fair grounds (look for the “Official State Fair Parking” sign) is $20 per vehicle. Disabled parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis in official car parks (parking fees apply). Please note that demand increases on weekends. Valet service is not available, but paid parking is available for $40. To access nearby parking, enter through Gate 5 at Robert B. Cullum Boulevard and Grand Avenue/Al Lipscomb Way, or Gate 2 at Haskell avenue and Parry avenue (Saturday-Sunday).
riding darts Take the Green Line and get off at Fair Park Station or MLK Junior Station. dart.org/statefair.
Using UBER, LYFT, and taxis The recommended rideshare drop-off and pick-up location is near Haskell at 4206 Gurley Avenue. The taxi rank is located just outside Gate 1 at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Gurley Avenue.

Starlight Parade Illuminated floats, costumed characters, and life-sized puppets roll through the venue every night at 7:15 p.m.
lighting sense Find a spot along the Esplanade and enjoy dancing water displays synchronized with high-energy music, fireworks, and special effects. The evening show begins at 8 p.m.
