Adozilion Homes and Realty, a prominent real estate company in Nigeria, recently hosted the Eklisia Realtors Conference. The event featured more than 350 real estate agents and recognized outstanding industry contributors. The theme of the conference, “Be Intentional” was focused on equipping real estate agents with the knowledge and tools they need to gain an edge in Nigeria’s dynamic real estate landscape.
Addressing Nigeria’s housing shortage
Dr. Adazi Simon, CEO of Adzillion Homes and Realty and chair of the conference, drew attention to the significant housing shortage in Nigeria. He stressed the urgent need for innovative solutions and partnerships to provide adequate housing to millions of Nigerians. Dr Simon emphasized the importance of empowering young entrepreneurs in the real estate sector and acknowledged the role of evaluation in driving growth in the industry.
Seeking cooperation and accountability
He urged cooperation with the government to ensure regulation, quality, transparency and accountability in the industry. Dr. Sam Egube, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Adozilion Homes, addressed challenges such as rising land costs, limited funding and inadequate infrastructure. He urged real estate agents to take a purposeful and collaborative approach.
Keynote speakers reflect on housing issues
Keynote speaker Dr. Nii Adesanya echoed concerns about the growing housing shortage and emphasized the need to continually improve the skills and knowledge of real estate agents. He cited inefficiencies in financing, land management and workforce as significant obstacles to the growth of Nigeria's real sector and the provision of adequate housing.
