The mystery was finally solved. At the beginning of 2023, this is us Stars Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown and Chris Sullivan held a mini-reunion and posted photos on a new Instagram account called @thatwasus.

Co-hosts Brown, Sullivan and Moore revealed the project in a short video set in the Pearson family's iconic station wagon. The announcement caption also details what fans can expect from the podcast, which will premiere a new episode every Tuesday starting May 14th.
“For six seasons and 106 episodes, Tuesdays have brought us together with tissues in one hand and wine from the pantry in the other. Why? We see ourselves in the fabric of their lives. Because we're watching ourselves. We may or may not have cried at least once per episode. But let's just say our tears were emotional catharsis. The caption goes on to say, “Sibling rivalry, physical issues, marriage, divorce, adoption, love, blended families, terminal illness, death, miscarriage, racism, drug abuse. The Pearson family. They're right here in our backyard, just as they are now. So what we want to do is really dig deep and dig deep. We're going to break down each episode, we're going to have special guests, we're going to have some tough conversations. Maybe we can do collective healing in the process??❤️ ❤️ ❤️”
