Fred Hsu shares some of his company's plans for a new top-level domain associated with the Web3 community.
It's been just six months since we had D3 co-founder Fred Hsu on our podcast. The company has made a number of announcements since then, and it is becoming clear that it will be one of the most important portfolio applicants in the next round of new TLDs.
Back in episode 456, Hsu explained how he wants to bridge web2 and web3. right Method. I'm not talking about alt-root domains. We're talking about helping the Web3 community get his ICANN-certified TLD.
D3 has since announced that it will claim .shib, .core, .gate, .near, .ape, and many other top-level domains under its agreement with the web3 community.
On today's show, Fred talks about how some of these deals came to be, including a unique deal with .ape where he received $5 million worth of ape coins.
Fred also talks about D3's upcoming event in Las Vegas later this month.
