Sometimes even old news is worth sharing. Apple introduced transcripts for Apple Podcasts. This makes the complete searchable text of each episode available. The idea is that this feature should help improve the accessibility of these shows.
It will also be more useful in the long run, as you will be able to more easily find and retain the sections of the transmission you need.
Sarah Herlinger, Apple's senior director of global accessibility policy and initiatives, said: She added, “We're excited to make transcripts widely available to everyone, adding another layer of accessibility to the podcast experience.”
How to access transcripts

What you can expect
Transcripts allow users to read the entire episode, search for specific words or phrases in the episode, and tap the text to play the podcast from that point in the episode. As the episode plays, each word is highlighted, making it easier to understand.
Podcast transcripts are available in English, French, Spanish, and German on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4. New episodes will be automatically available as they come out, and older shows will be transcribed over time. This feature does not support translation.

Apple selected the fonts and colors used in transcripts with accessibility in mind. This means that long-form text is easier to scan and read. Hearing-impaired users can also access the transcript without pressing the play button on the episode.
What about podcasters?
Podcasters who want to provide their own transcripts can do so through RSS tags or by using Apple Podcasts Connect for subscriber episodes. Learn more about.

Podcast transcripts are available in English, French, German, and Spanish on iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4, and back catalog episodes will be added over time. Transcripts are accessible in over 170 countries and territories.
