Now that the draft is complete and all that matters, are there any free agents you'd like to take on? – Pat Basilio/Mililani, Hawaii
Nick Harris: The free agent market is a bit tight at the moment, but there are still several defensive tackle bodies that could compete for a spot in training camp. Brian Mone's early career growth has been hampered by injuries, but he still has some interesting upsides. Hassan Ridgway is also still on the market. With Zay Jones visiting this week, the Cowboys may also be in the market for a receiver. Even if Jones doesn't work out, Mecole Hardman or Hunter Renfroe could bring playmaking ability to the offense next season. Depth offensive linemen can always provide some value as well, and Halaporivaati Vaitai could make sense as an interior option.
patrick:Actually, there is. First and foremost, sign me up to get Stephon Gilmore back in a Cowboys uniform in 2024. From there, let's take a look at the defensive tackle position. Because I think we still have some top-tier options that will do damage for Mike Zimmer and Mike McCarthy. One of his such names is Curry His Campbell, also known as “Timeless Wonder.” Even though Campbell is 37 years old, he continues to play at a high level and his production and coaching abilities will be valuable for now. He also wants to keep an eye on players like Linval Joseph. He also has a strong resume as a defensive tackle and has a direct connection to Zimmer from his time at Minnesota. I would be very, very happy if he could tell me at least two of the three names I mentioned earlier.
