In May 2020, christian cooper It was located in an area called the Rumble in New York's Central Park. He says it's a beautiful place and important for local bird populations. So when he saw a dog off-leash, which is prohibited at the Rumble to protect birds, he confronted the owner.
The woman, angry that Cooper was filming her, said she would call police and said the “African-American” man was threatening her if he did not stop. The video went viral and this ugly incident sparked outrage on the same day as George Floyd's death.
As a black birdwatcher, Cooper said he knew something like this could happen to him, but it was a symptom of a deeper problem.but he says hannah moore, he is determined to use the platform he has gained to show that the natural world is for everyone.
