DAYTONA, Fla. (WGHP) — With more than 100 NASCAR-related podcasts available, Dirty Mo Media, owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr., is leading the way in the racing podcast space.
“Dirty Mo Media has a specific purpose…I think it complements our industry,” Mike Davis said.
Davis is president and executive producer of Dirty Mo Media. He is a key figure in the growth of the NASCAR podcast sector.
“This is the type of media that people can easily consume, and it's not that difficult to create,” Davis said.
Davis may be oversimplifying it a bit. Capitalizing on Earnhardt Jr.'s vast fan base was an important step. He was named NASCAR's Most Popular Driver his 15 times in his career.
Following the Dale Jr. download is a door bumper clear featuring NASCAR's unsung heroes, spotters, and their unique perspective on what's happening in the sport.
The host is Casey Boat.
“They don't come to us for concrete facts, right? They come to us for…opinions…in the garage because the fans can't see it every weekend. Maybe you want to hear the inside scoop on what's going on…sometimes that gets us into trouble,” Boat said.
“Denny Hamlin gives us an advantage from the driver’s seat,” Davis said.
A relatively new service is Actions Detrimental by Denny Hamlin. It started last year and has gained popularity from many listeners.
“Denny is polarizing in this sport…I think that's what fuels his motivation, so he's embracing that in a way,” Davis said.
Everyone at Dirty Mo Media is focused on:
“I want these things to be featured on TV…I want them to be featured in the way NASCAR fans consume,” Davis said.
We currently have a master plan and it is coming together.
