Here are the people who received calls from Jerry Jones:
tyler guyton
Round 1 – No.29
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones clearly had two goals in mind Thursday night. First and foremost, Jones wanted to acquire an additional draft pick, so he wanted to trade down from No. 24 in the first round.
Second, and just as importantly, they needed to draft an offensive lineman (preferably a tackle) to compensate for the loss of future Hall of Famer Tyron Smith, who signed with the New York Jets this spring.
Jones accomplished both by trading with the Buffalo Bills and selecting Oklahoma tackle Tyler Guyton with the 29th pick in the first round. The Cowboys will also acquire Buffalo's third-round pick (No. 73) on Friday night.
At 6-foot-7, 322 pounds and with 34-inch arms, Guyton has the traits NFL teams look for in a left tackle.

Marshawn Kneeland
Round 2 – No.56
The Cowboys are looking to fill a big need in the 2024 NFL Draft by selecting 6-3, 267-pound defensive end Marshawn Nyland from Western Michigan University with the 56th overall pick in the second round. I hope you've found your main force.
Nyland describes himself as a “violent, physical, athletic, high-effort” player who is always looking for ways to get to the football.
Nyland, a third-year starter, had 4.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for loss in 10 games in 2023. He performed well at the combine with 7.02 cone drills, 4.18 short shuttles, 35.5 verticals, and 21 bench reps.
The Cowboys certainly have a need at this position after losing defensive ends Dorrance Armstrong and Dante Fowler to the rival Washington Commanders in free agency.
Long term, Nyland plans to replace 11-year veteran DeMarcus Lawrence at the strong-side end position in Mike Zimmer's base defense.
cooper beebe
Round 3 – No. 73
The first of two third-round picks was used to strengthen the offensive line. Cooper Beebe, a 6-foot-3, 322-pound guard from Kansas State, has been named the Big 12 Conference's Offensive Lineman of the Year in each of the past two seasons.
He is a fourth-year starter who could convert to center and compete for a starting role as a rookie. The center position is being targeted after Tyler Biadasz signed with Washington last month.
Marist Refor
Round 3 – No. 87
Marist Liufau, a 6-foot-2, 234-pound Notre Dame linebacker from Hawaii, has been a starter the past two seasons and is considered the most energetic player on the field.
Liufau is a cousin of Los Angeles Rams Rookie of the Year Puka Nacua and will help restore depth to a linebacker corps that has declined following the loss of Leighton Vander Esch, who retired due to chronic injury issues.
