The iconic restaurant known for its giant, delicious sticky buns will soon be opening in Plano after closing its Dallas location.
Crossroads Diner, formerly located on Walnut Hill Avenue and then at 17194 Preston Road in North Dallas, closed in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are truly sad to write this, but the time has come. We have decided to permanently close Crossroads Diner,” Crossroads Diner posted on Facebook in November 2020. [our] We were five days short of our 10th anniversary!! 9 years and 360 days is still an incredible record!”
On May 8, 2024, the restaurant posted to Facebook again, announcing that it would be reopening, this time at 645 Powell Ln. in Plano, which will occupy a 3,300 square foot space and also feature an outdoor patio.
The Plano location will serve breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Sunday and feature a full bar, as well as dinner service Wednesday through Saturday and a senior citizen portion from 4 to 8 p.m.
The restaurant will continue to serve staples like omelets, pancakes, eggs Benedict and, of course, sticky buns — as the restaurant’s famous sign states, “Clean hands, sticky buns.”
according to Dallas Morning News, Crossroads Diner is expected to open in Plano this September.
