The Dallas Mavericks are currently 2-2 in the second round against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but their focus is now on the court and advancing to the Western Conference Finals. The series will be a minimum of six games, with both teams splitting two games on their home courts.
Still, the offseason is looming long, and the Mavericks are sure to look to seal the title as favorites heading into next season. They have the mold of a championship contending team. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving play well next to each other, and head coach Jason Kidd, a former point guard, helps keep things running smoothly.

They could also try to add LeBron James in free agency. According to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, the Mavericks will be able to opt out of the final season of LeBron's contract, so they will be able to sign his son Bronny in the 2024 NBA Draft in order to have an advantage in signing LeBron in free agency. There is a possibility that James will be nominated. Become an unrestricted free agent.
Having Bronny on the roster is a big selling point for LeBron. Also on their roster is Irving, LeBron's former championship-winning teammate who played for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Although his career has slowed down, if the Mavericks draft Bronny, he could rejoin the superstar guard while playing alongside his son.
LeBron has publicly expressed his desire to play alongside his son. There are also many rumors circulating about a reunion with Irving. Dallas is a huge market, and the Mavericks have several key selling points to lure LeBron to the city, making him a likely favorite to win the NBA title next season. They will need to free up cap space this offseason, but they will be willing to do so in order to sign the league's all-time leading scorer.
That must also be Brony's wish. He has performed well at the NBA Combine thus far, with a vertical jump of over 40 inches and an impressive performance in 3-point shooting practice. There are a lot of moving parts, but there's certainly potential here.
