Hypothetical trade between Chicago Bears' Khalil Herbert and Dallas Cowboys
The Chicago Bears have already made big moves this offseason, acquiring big-time players like Keenan Allen and D'Andre Swift. The trade for quarterback Justin Fields, a former first-round draft pick, was also done for a much lower amount than originally expected before the offseason.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys are making moves in the offseason, with owner Jerry Jones reportedly saying they are “all in” for next season after a disappointing first-round exit in last year's playoffs. He has been criticized for not having. The Cowboys were unable to sign anyone on the first day of free agency and have not been able to make any major moves. This trade isn't considered a huge move, but it certainly could be a step in the right direction for the Cowboys.
In this virtual transaction, dallas robinson Pro Football Network The Chicago Bears are sending Khalil Herbert to Dallas in exchange for the Cowboys' compensatory sixth-round pick (216th overall) in the upcoming draft. The Bears have two high-value picks, including two in the top 10 overall (including the No. 1 pick), but the remaining two are both in the fourth round. The Bear's draft strategy will likely include continuing to build around USC's projected No. 1 overall pick, quarterback Caleb Williams.
Can you do it? #DallasCowboys exchange with #bear RB Khalil Herbert? 💡

Would it make sense for the Chicago Bears to trade Khalil Herbert?
I think this trade will be beneficial for both teams. The Bears could use more draft stock to build around Caleb Williams and could waive Khalil Herbert after signing D'Andre Swift and near-term RB1. Conversely, former Cowboys RB1 Tony Pollard recently signed with the Tennessee Titans, and could look to acquire more young talent.
However, I think the Chicago Bears may look at this trade and feel that Khalil Herbert's value should be priced in the fourth or fifth round. Injuries were an issue for most of the Chicago Bears' running backs last season, including Herbert. The 25-year-old running back has shown talent (when he can) and has a chance to become established as an NFL running back.
