ARLINGTON, Va. — With cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) being discovered in dairy cows in several states, what biosecurity is and how to achieve it is on everyone's radar. It's all in the minds of dairy farmers. Karen Jordan, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, chair of the National Dairy Program's Animal Welfare Task Force, and a member of the NMPF Board of Directors, said all farmers should take simple steps to adequately protect their industry. Meaningful steps can be taken, the Daily Defined Podcast was released today.
