The Dallas Cowboys' top staff appears to be in demand by a handful of teams.
The state of the Dallas Cowboys defensive coaching staff is kind of an interesting situation right now. For now, everything depends on whether the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Commanders prefer Quinn as their team's next head coach. Quinn appears to be the top candidate for each. Skipper, considering they are the last two teams that have yet to select a new head coach. If Quinn does not receive an offer from them, it stands to reason that he will return to Dallas for his fourth year as the Cowboys' defensive coordinator.
But we've reached the point where Quinn is no longer the only member of the Cowboys' defensive staff receiving interest from other teams. ESPN's Todd Archer reported Friday that the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta Falcons are interested in hiring defensive line coach Aden Daade.
As Archer points out, Durd worked with Dan Quinn and Raheem Morris in Atlanta. The former is a former Falcons coach, and the latter will be their future coach.
Morris' old team has a hole at the defensive coordinator position with Morris' departure, as did the Packers following the firing of Joe Barry. It remains to be seen what position each team is interested in in Durd, but the coordinator spot would clearly be a promotion, and the Cowboys won't be able to block that.
If Dan Quinn wins the job with either the Seahawks or the Commanders, he'll bring some defensive staff with him, as well as Dardo, who could even throw a hypothetical fourth team into the mix. It is logical to assume that Obviously, if Quinn were to leave, Dallas would have a defensive coordinator opening of their own and could consider Durd themselves.
