DALLAS — No matter what you do this weekend, your goal should be to stay warm in some way.
With that in mind, let's take a look at what's happening in North Texas.
Friday, January 12th
The annual Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo begins Friday.
From the “Best of the West” Ranch Rodeo to the Best of Mexico Celebration and Cowboys of Color, there are plenty of events to get you off to a good start.
Saturday, January 13th
Country music, BBQ, benefits for first responders…I think that's enough information to get you tickets.
Head to the Longhorn Ballroom at 6 p.m. for Elaina Kay's Cornbread & Country event.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to Dallas first responders.
Sunday, January 14th
Does anyone else's social media feed get flooded with Mardi Gras and New Orleans and find themselves craving king cake and gumbo?
As Mardi Gras season begins, get a taste of NOLA with Hilton Garden Inn's Mardi Gras Brunch. In addition to the food, you can also expect plenty of live entertainment and contests with winners leading the second line.
The brunch will benefit the St. Augustine High School Alumni Association and Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club scholarship funds in Dallas. A silent auction will also be held during brunch to benefit the Texas Restaurant Foundation.
Monday, January 15th
People across North Texas are planning events to celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
From celebrations to community service, Dallas-Fort Worth is ready to honor Dr. King's fight for racial equality.
