ISN, a Dallas-based global leader in contractor and supplier management solutions, collects supplier-provided data and real-time information to improve product visibility, traceability, and sustainability.
Founded in 2001, ISN is headquartered at One McKinney Plaza in Uptown Dallas. The company employs “several hundred people” within the North Texas region and more than 650 people worldwide.
“The acquisition of Transparency-One marks ISN's first acquisition,” the company told Dallas Innovates. “Together, ISN and Transparency-One will help manage risk and strengthen relationships for her more than 100,000 buyers, contractors, suppliers and employing organizations around the world.”
Aims to secure $500 million in investment in 2020 to create “safer workplaces and more transparent supply chains”
“Combining Transparency One's expertise and supply chain network with ours will lead to safer workplaces and more transparency,” Joe Eastin, ISN chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “This is a natural extension of our efforts to build a highly resilient supply chain.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition was led by EVP and General Counsel Jim Skodpol and Vice President Joe Schlesser, with transaction guidance from Blackstone Growth, ISN said.
Blackstone made a strategic growth investment of over $500 million in ISN in 2020. The investment helped ISN reach a valuation of $2 billion in 2020, according to the Dallas Business Journal.

Transparency-One was founded in 2016 and has offices in Boston, Massachusetts and Paris, France.
ISN says its platform enables organizations to thoroughly investigate their supply chains and gain valuable insights into product visibility, traceability, supply chain mapping, responsible sourcing, and sustainability.
Transparency One CEO Chris Morrison will continue to lead the business as a managing director, ISN said.

Reducing risks in global operations
ISN has more than 20 years of experience connecting more than 760 employment clients in capital-intensive industries and more than 77,000 active contractors and suppliers to advance workplace safety, health and sustainability. .
The company's platform, ISNetworld, includes data-driven insights and tools to help companies manage risks related to their global operations, such as supply chain continuity, regulatory compliance, ESG challenges, and training and program suitability. The company says it will help reduce this.
ISN has 13 offices worldwide and provides support and training to customers in more than 85 countries.
