DALLAS — Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic plans to debut a new design of the Jordan Luka 3 sneaker during the NBA playoffs, The Boardroom's Nick DePaula reports.
Doncic is expected to wear his latest signature sneaker this Sunday as the Mavericks begin their 2023 playoff campaign against the Los Angeles Clippers.
The official announcement of Luca 3 took place last Monday. The sneakers are scheduled to be released to the public in July. The launch of the Luca 3 marks Doncic's third offering in his exclusive line of signature shoes, following the release of the Luca 2 last June.
The inspiration for these shoes goes back to Doncic's custom 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. Especially with Jordan's signature logo under the hood.
These shoes are decorated in vibrant shades of mint, purple and pink and are designed to evoke the evocative atmosphere of a sports car dashboard at night.
“This car-inspired design is fun,” Doncic told DePaula. “The speed and control you need is just as important on the court as it is on the road.”
Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic and Sato Sabally of the Dallas Wings will wear special edition Luka III, according to details from DePaula.
