The series was tied at one game apiece, with the Oklahoma City Thunder losing to the Dallas Mavericks 119-110.
After a rocky Game 1 in which the Mavericks' offense only scored 95 points, their shooting numbers began to decline in Game 2, with Luka Doncic shooting 53 percent from the floor with 29 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists. Recorded.
Doncic has been dealing with a knee injury all postseason, limping into the game for 41 minutes, often grimacing and grumbling.
On Friday afternoon, the Dallas Mavericks released their injury report for Game 3, which featured their superstar.
Doncic (knee) is listed as questionable, while Maxi Kleber (shoulder) and Olivier Maxwell-Prosper (ankle) are listed as absent for Game 3.
All signs point to the Mavericks superstar continuing to show his mettle, but Jason Kidd is some kind of gamesman, even though we all knew the superstar would give them a hard time. Ships will keep everyone “guessing”.
The Oklahoma City Thunder have filed a new injury report, but the Mavericks' report states that Jalen Williams' hand was in his favor for much of the game after he tried to beat the backboard in a shot contest. Big man Daniel Gafford was absent.
Gafford said after Friday's practice that he felt “perfectly fine” following Thursday's injury concerns.
The OKC Thunder will then travel to Dallas for Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Dallas Mavericks. The series is currently tied at 1-1, and the game will be broadcast on ABC, with tipoff scheduled for 2:30 p.m. CT.
