evaluation:
The Bulls were supposed to beat the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, but a terrible fourth quarter doomed them. DeMar DeRozan is two rebounds away from recording his second career triple-double, and Saturday marked the fifth time this season he has dished out 10 or more assists in a game. DeRozan improved in March and has played in the last five games, averaging 26.2 points, 52.4 percent shooting (41.2 percent from three), 5.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists in 38.1 minutes per game. They're fine without Zach LaVine, and DeRozan has really stepped up his distribution. He might not do enough to win, but he'll keep it close and cover the spread.

evaluation:
The Bulls enter the interconference meeting with the Mavericks ranked 29th in pace. Like DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic has had to expand his game in LaVine's absence. Vucevic has recorded a double-double in each of his past four games, bringing his total to 37 for the year. The big man has now recorded at least 20 points and 10 rebounds in three consecutive games. Vucevic averaged 21.0 points on 48.9 percent shooting (42.9 percent from three), 11.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 33.5 minutes per game in March. He has played slow for both clubs and this game will be well below that number.
