After dominating the opening series against the New Orleans Pelicans, the Thunder cruised to a comfortable win over the Mavericks and advanced to Game 2. After a very even first quarter on Tuesday night, OKC was able to regain his nine-point lead heading into halftime. Dallas tried to keep it close in the third quarter, but the wheels went out of whack in the fourth, with the Thunder outscoring them 28-16 and winning 117-95.
Oklahoma City won each of its first five playoff games, snapping a 10-game winning streak from the regular season.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was once again a mainstay for the Thunder, leading the team with 29 points, and Chet Holmgren also contributed with 19 points. Aaron Wiggins came off the bench and scored 16 points.
Luka Doncic really struggled, scoring just 19 points in the loss. Kyrie Irving led the Mavs with 20 points, and Daniel Gafford had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
