We are very excited to announce that we have hired Anna Butler as our new real estate reporter.
We have followed Anna's career for nearly a decade, and she comes to our newsroom with a wealth of experience, including solid knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth real estate market.
She founded the four-person real estate news team at the Dallas Business Journal and later became the magazine's editor-in-chief.
Her career also includes stints as corporate transactions reporter for Texas Law Book, director of operations for a family office investment firm in Dallas, and web editor in chief for a travel and tourism website in Austin. Most recently, she worked as a consultant for several small newspapers in Texas, helping them develop digital-first workflow efficiencies.
But there's much more to know about Anna.

She is a 7th generation Texan.

She hosts weekly trivia nights and participates in quarterly racial reconciliation dinners.

She is a graduate of Wake Forest University, where she majored in history and minored in art history and Latin.

She studied at the International Culinary Center in New York, where she learned classic French techniques.

She is active in golf, tennis, and mahjong.
We can't wait for her to join the newsroom full-time. Her first day with us will be Monday, January 22nd.
