Orion Communications, a Dallas-based leader in operational workforce management SaaS software for public safety, has been acquired by Chicago-based FieldWare, a provider of criminal justice solutions for law enforcement and community oversight agencies.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Fieldware said this strategic partnership will further enhance its cutting-edge technology that improves labor efficiency for a variety of criminal justice practitioners.

FieldWare, known for its comprehensive suite of incident management and remote check-in software, plans to serve law enforcement, fire, and correctional personnel by adding Orion's SaaS software to its portfolio, the company said. said. For the past 20 years, Orion has served public safety agencies nationwide by automating complex scheduling, payroll, asset allocation, and training processes based on each customer's unique policies.
Providing a “Comprehensive Solution” for Agencies
Ultimately, FieldWare said it intends to seamlessly incorporate Orion's technology capabilities to provide comprehensive solutions that address the needs of a variety of government agencies.
