Chris Fallon has been named senior vice president and chief information officer by Dallas-based Wingstop, leading the brand's enterprise and restaurant technology solutions, IT infrastructure, and information security.
“Wingstop's one-position category is further strengthened by our technology-forward strategy and vision to digitize every transaction,” Wingstop President and CEO Michael Skipworth said in a statement. “It will be done,” he said. “Chris's addition builds on our strong foundation and will take our enterprise and restaurant technology solutions to the next level.”
Fallon is an experienced technology leader who spent 14 years at Starbucks, where he was responsible for retail back-of-house, corporate, licensed stores, and CPG technology. Most recently, Mr. Fallon was chief information officer at Fortune Brands Water Innovations, where he oversaw Moen and House of Roll's operations.
Wingstop said Fallon joins the company following third-quarter results in which digital sales increased 66.9% and total system sales increased 26.5%.
“Wingstop is fully committed to growth and I'm excited to be joining at such a dynamic time for the brand,” Fallon said in a statement. “Wingstop has established itself as a technology leader and we look forward to watching this best-in-class team continue to expand globally.”
Earlier this year, Restaurant Business Online reported that Wingstop was planning to move to an in-house ordering system that it had been developing for three years. The $50 million proprietary system is called “My Wingstop,” according to the publication.
Founded in 1994, Wingstop Inc. operates and franchises more than 2,050 locations worldwide.
