Bad weather in Dallas, Texas, delayed multiple flights out of Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Tuesday. At least 274 flights were canceled at Fort Worth airport due to weather conditions in the city, according to data from live flight tracking service Flight Aware.
According to its website, flights at the airport are departing an average of 1 hour 23 minutes late (a decreasing trend), aircraft are arriving an average of 1 hour 36 minutes late (an increasing trend), and all arriving flights are waiting at their departure points until Tuesday at 3pm CDT.
So far, 250 flights have been cancelled in the last 24 hours.
The following flights out of DFW Airport have been canceled:
1. Flight JIA5251 to Lafayette Regional/Paul Fournette Field (LFT)
2. ENY3390 to Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
3. ENY3799 to Albuquerque International Airport (ABQ)
4. AAL Flight 1008 to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL)
5. ENY3462 to Augusta Regional Airport (AGS)
Flight MRA662 from Addison (KADS) scheduled to arrive at DFW Airport has been delayed.
In Dallas County, weather conditions have deteriorated significantly, with lightning and tornado sirens blaring and a destructive severe thunderstorm warning in effect as of 6:19 a.m. Meanwhile, in Houston, the National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the area as storms affecting Dallas are expected to bring hurricane-force winds of more than 100 mph from the north.
