Lisa New has been named the first female CEO in the Dallas Zoo's 135-year history. She is expected to start on January 15, 2024. She joins the Dallas Zoo after 10 years as president and CEO of the Knoxville Zoo. New began her career in her entry-level position at the Knoxville Zoo, grew to the zoo's conservation science team, and ultimately became the zoo's president and CEO over the past decade.

Chris Hipps, a longtime CBRE executive, has been hired to lead the firm's advisory business throughout Texas. He will work in Dallas and his first official day on the job will be January 2, 2024. The newest addition to Polsinelli's real estate finance group is Tara Darling. Her focus will be on advising clients on financing transactions across a variety of commercial real estate asset classes. Darling, who joins Polsinelli from a real estate law firm, represents buyers, sellers, and lenders in complex financing transactions. She also discussed affordable housing transactions, including Section 8 and HAP agreements, low-income housing tax credits, tax credits, including PFC and HFC transactions, and other tax credits created under local, state, and federal law.
