The Cowboys have survived two hiring cycles with Quinn, but the team's prospects for keeping him for a third straight year seem bleak. With multiple second-round interviews scheduled and a potential reunion in Seattle, Dallas could move quickly to acquire a new defensive coordinator.
However, if Quinn does not agree to the opportunity as head coach, there are reports that Dallas will pursue Quinn for a third season with head coach Mike McCarthy. He could take the job with multiple free agents on the defensive, and is needed after allowing a playoff franchise-record 48 points in a wild-card loss to Green Bay earlier this month. A different approach will be required.
Washington is looking for a new head coach after firing Ron Rivera after four seasons. Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris is also scheduled for a second interview, and the managers are expected to host a second interview after the conference championship weekend.
In addition to Morris and Quinn, the Seahawks will conduct second interviews with Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Ebello, Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham and Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka.
Quinn served as the Seahawks' defensive coordinator from 2013-2014 and defensive line coach from 2009-2010. His only head coaching experience to date was with Atlanta, where he coached the Falcons for six seasons from 2015-2020.
