Everyone wants to be heard. Great American Realtor® Days is your chance to make your voice heard and make a difference in the Florida real estate business. This is your chance to stand up for your profession and for homeowners across the state.
Great American Realtor Days, or “GARD” as we like to call it, is held annually at the state Capitol, where you can travel to Tallahassee and shake hands with lawmakers before considering decisions that affect any policy. , you will have the opportunity to meet in person. you are in business.

Before you vote on a bill that could hurt your bottom line, threaten business growth, and make it harder for Floridians to buy your dream home or sell your property, make sure your elected officials They are there to make sure the instructor has the correct information.
- Is there something in your real estate transaction that unnecessarily complicates the process?
- Are rising insurance premiums turning buyers away?
- Does the water quality in your area affect your sales?

Transportation to Tallahassee: Florida Realtors will assist with transportation costs. If your association brings a bus to GARD, Florida Realtors will reimburse your association up to $1,000.
How your voice made a difference
Over the past few years, real estate agents who have joined GARD have contributed to the following legislation:
- Significantly lower state sales tax on commercial leases
- Delivering important insurance reforms to keep insurance premiums affordable
- Allocates significant funding to improve water quality across the state
- Setting limits on certain fees charged by neighborhood associations
- Protecting homeowners from excessive increases in flood insurance
- Authorize online/remote notaries for more streamlined transactions
- Provides new tools to close open/expired permits
