Things appear to be on the upswing between Meek Mill and DJ Academics after their recent spat. In a shocking turn of events on Saturday (March 16), Academics offered the popular Philadelphia host a $1 million contract after he tweeted his desire to start a podcast. .
The conversation started when Meek said: So much to say on so many different levels! If your podcast business is slow, I'll turn it around. From – Meek Mill – I’ve always been my own medium and want to be a part of black media culture. ”
DJ Akademiks commented: “We're offering you $1 million upfront for 52 episodes for one week. We own the video and audio, with a second year renewal option. We also offer advertising that we bring in (Prizepicks, Fashionova, etc.) ) Reduce ads by 50%. You can own your podcast, but your IP will be shared as long as: [you’re] in the contract. ”
He went on to say: “Oh, we'll do the production.” As part of the deal, we'll do the recording, the editing, and of course the promotion. ” Akademiks also interestingly shared, “He doesn’t want to do a box… maybe he wants to do a podcast??”
Oh, our company will also be in charge of the production. As part of the deal, we'll also do the recording, editing, and of course the promotion.

Meek replied:Yeah, it's just a podcast deal, kid…I just want to go into the media right now and rap and tell stories of reform about the system. Help others share their stories and combat any propaganda. Uplifting black culture. Stop eating beef in public.the It will be called “cultural currency.” ”
He followed up that comment with, “Tell me about the level of business knowledge I have on the street to working with extremely wealthy people!” Just as Street fueled his beef while hosting a show on Spotify. I want that opportunity! ”
Please give me the level of business knowledge I have, from the streets to the ultra-wealthy! I would love to have that opportunity, just like I did with street beef while hosting a show on Spotify!
