Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, has found a new home on the podcast Archetypes.
Under the new deal announced Tuesday, Meghan's 12-episode podcast series will be streamed on all audio platforms through podcast network Lemonada Media starting this spring.
In addition to distributing Archetypes, the company will partner with Meghan to host a new original podcast series, details of which have not yet been announced.
In a statement shared by Lemonada Media, Meghan said: “I am proud to announce that I am joining the amazing team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting.” “Being able to support women-founded businesses with a series of thought-provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a great way to kick off 2024. We’re re-releasing Archetype to make it accessible to even more people. We have a dynamic new podcast in the works, which we are very excited to share soon and are thrilled to be joining the Lemonada family.”
Meghan Markle's return to podcasting comes about a year after she and her husband Prince Harry ended their much-publicized podcasting deal with Spotify.
Spotify and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's production company, Archewell Audio, confirmed in June last year that the two companies had “mutually agreed to part ways.”
When Spotify's deal with the Sussexes was announced at the end of 2020 (just after Harry and Meghan left their senior roles), Spotify announced that it would see Harry and Meghan both host and produce the podcast. He explained that this is a multi-year partnership. The goal is to build “community through shared experiences, stories, and values.”

The only podcast series to come out of Harry and Meghan's partnership was Archetype, a series hosted by Meghan that examines the stereotypes and labels women face.
The podcast, which featured interviews with Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, Issa Rae, and more, won the People's Choice Award for Top Podcast in 2022 and the Gracie Award for Digital Media in 2023.
Meghan, who lives in California with Prince Harry and their two children, described Archetype as a “labor of love” as she celebrated winning the People's Choice Award.
“I loved getting into the process, sitting in bed late at night, writing and being creative,” Meghan said in a statement at the time. “And we loved digging deep into meaningful conversations with our diverse and inspiring guests, laughing together, learning, and listening to you.”
Lemonada Media, Meghan's new podcasting home, also produces podcasts hosted by Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Samantha Bee.
The company was founded in 2019 by Jessica Cordova Kramer and Stephanie Wittels Wax.
