In the wake of consecutive losses by the Sixers, the Sixer Sense Podcast is back. Philadelphia suffered road losses to both the Indiana Pacers and Denver Nuggets, the latter of which had a very limited roster. Are there more implications to these losses than initially thought?
Indiana outscored the Sixers with Joel Embiid in the lineup, and newly acquired Pascal Siakam became the centerpiece of the game. Siakam recorded a triple-double and should make opposing teams wonder what the Pacers will be like once Tyrese Haliburton returns to play with his new teammates.
The game against Denver brought a lot of emotions, starting with the disbelief when Embiid was scratched during the game. The medical team noticed something they didn't like during warm-ups and opted to keep the MVP candidate out. The news creates natural drama considering Embiid hasn't played a game in Denver since 2019.
The media loves to report that Embiid cheated on Jokic, but conveniently leaves out the last two games the two played, even though they were in Philadelphia. Embiid was dominant in both matchups, proving he is the better player at the moment. What do Jonathan and Lucas think about Embiid missing this game, and what can they take away from the inspired play of the bench players in this game?
To conclude the podcast, they discuss the recently announced NBA All-Star starters. The Eastern Conference has Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Damian Lillard, and Tyrese Haliburton. In the Western Conference, they are LeBron James, Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Luka Doncic. Are there any players left out of the starting lineup?
