dallas – The 52nd annual BMW Dallas Marathon Festival takes place this weekend. Even if you're not attending, here's what you need to know about the event.
The Friday Night Lights Mile begins on December 8th at 7pm at Dallas City Hall Square. The Friday Night Lights Mile is his two-lap Grand Prix-style race around Dallas City Hall Square, with multiple heats available for both runners and walkers.
Starting at 9 a.m. Friday, Marilla Street and Browder Street will be closed for the Friday Night Light Mile.
Day 2 begins December 9th at 8:30 a.m. in downtown Dallas. Saturday's events include a 10K, 5K, 5-person 5K team challenge and a 100 meter dash for kids.
The final day of the festival, Dec. 10, will see the full marathon, half marathon, half marathon walk, and 50K ultramarathon begin at 8:30 a.m. The race course begins in downtown Dallas, winds through various Dallas neighborhoods, and finishes at Dallas City Hall Square.

According to runDallas, all of Sunday's events are sold out, but there is still time to register for Friday and Saturday's events.
