It looks like there will be a lot of change in the Dallas Cowboys organization over the next year or two. It looks like franchise quarterback Dak Prescott will be leaving town after this season, considering there are no contract extension talks in the works. This comes after the departure of longtime running back Ezekiel Elliott a season ago and Tony Pollard this offseason. So it might be the NFL's best-kept secret that Dallas is trying to rebuild.
With Trey Lance already sitting as a backup and Dak remaining on the roster through the 2024 season, it's doubtful they'll make any big quarterback moves this year. However, with only Deuce Vaughn on the roster, it looks like Dallas will be in the market for a running back. I think the Cowboys will do that again this year, as Elliott, Pollard, and Vaughn were all found in the draft.
The Cowboys' first pick in the 2024 NFL Draft will be 24th overall. There have been strong rumors about the Cowboys' relationship with Oregon C's Jackson Powers-Johnson, and it appears they may be trying to acquire a running back. The Cowboys invited former Alabama Crimson Tide running back Jace McClellan to a pre-draft Top 30 visit this week. McClellan played high school baseball at Aledo, so he's confident this will be a dream come true for the Alabama bruiser.
